Designer & Artist
Cassie Tompkins is a multidisciplinary designer and artist who currently works as part of the Design team at the Art Institute of Chicago. At the museum she creates both in-house and out-of-home marketing materials as well as exhibition identities and graphics. Prior to the Art Institute, Cassie was a student designer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received her BFA with a concentration in Visual Communication Design in 2010. Cassie also has a BFA in Photography from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and continues to pursue her practice of visual art, she is currently working on a series of dyed and screen printed textiles. As a freelancer, Cassie has worked with many clients, most recently Illinois Humanities, designing their new brand identity. Cassie is also the creator of Regional, a mini-magazine dedicated to examining American cuisine.
